Nationaal Park Rotterdam
A permanent exhibition about nature in the city, showing how wildlife thrives in unexpected places.
At Het Natuurhistorisch in Rotterdam, we designed the permanent exhibition National Park Rotterdam: a celebration of nature woven through the urban landscape.
The exhibition tells the story of how plants and animals adapt, survive, and even flourish within the city. We built the entire presentation using materials from Rotterdam itself (concrete, stones, steel, wood, and glass) transforming them into displays where urban life and wildlife literally meet.
On and within these structures, visitors encounter animals, stories, and discoveries that make them see their city differently.
The result is a playful yet powerful experience: a museum that feels like a city, and a city that feels alive with nature.
